What Travelling is Like Right Now

What are the airports like?
First of all, booking the flight felt weird. There is always the luring risk of re-imposed travel bans.
Getting into the airport is a mission. They only let people in whose check-in is open and everyone is asked to proceed to the gates immediately. Plus, there are lots of plastic covers everywhere, closed doors and security people. Odd vibes!
There's also the feeling of a strange emptiness. Hard to describe. It’s a bit like the feeling you get when you’re in a deserted mall.
What about the people?
This is very personal and I have only seen a tiny portion of security people. Most of them are nice but it also feels like quite a few are enjoying their “newly found power” and they feel like they’re your boss. Really unpleasant and a bit disturbing. It makes you realise how something we took for granted for so long can be easily taken away!
"The feeling of going somewhere, the spirit of travelling. It hasn't even been that long and yet it feels extra special right now"
It feels more special than ever
But it's so good to board a plane again. The feeling of going somewhere, the spirit of travelling. It hasn’t even been that long and yet it feels extra special right now.
And then you get there and it's all worth it and feels even more amazing than before. We never took travel and exploring for granted, but now even more than ever, we know how lucky we are to be able to see this awesome world of ours!
Have you travelled anywhere internationally yet? What was your experience like?
